We pride ourselves on being a values-based organisation offering great scope for individual development and career growth, with values encouraging team members to 'make it happen', be 'straight up', 'savvy' and to 'stretch the boundaries'.
All of our graduates are permanent employees, which guarantees you a role within the business after completing your three year programme, and also lets you enjoy the benefits of being a Vector team member, some of which are listed below:
Individual development at Vector means making the most of your own talent, skills, training, natural aptitude and attributes. We will do our best to accommodate your individual talents, enabling you to grow as an engineer and continue to be at the leading edge of your professional and technical area of expertise.
Because development is about your own unique situation, we can't have a one-size fits all programme.
Development reviews take place six-monthly and depending on your individual needs, your development programme could contain a number of things - including options such as a course in public speaking to overcome hidden fears or attendance at a seminar or conference.
Additionally, our graduates participate in graduate group training to complement their individual development plans.
You will receive a competitive remuneration package that recognises your increasing contribution to the success of our business.
Performance and salary reviews are conducted every six months to recognise your developing knowledge, skills and experience. Our performance management system aligns individual activity with company strategy, and you will also have the potential to receive an annual incentive payment.
We are proud of our proactive approach to work/life balance and believe that by supporting members of our team in all facets of life, we create an environment where people can achieve their potential.
All graduates receive the following:
Vector provides income protection insurance for all permanent employees as ACC does not cover disablement through sickness. If you were unable to work again due to a permanent illness, and were not covered by this insurance, your standard of living could be at risk.
Life insurance cover, which costs nothing, provides your family with a financial cushion in the event of your death.
We will reimburse your professional programme fees for membership with a relevant professional body. We encourage all of our graduates to work towards their IPENZ registration and the Vector graduate development programme will aim to equip with you with all the skills and knowledge needed for you to achieve this.
A wealth of knowledge for you to access! - Our people are our greatest asset, and we always look to employ the best and the brightest. This means that there is a wealth of knowledge and experience within the business and you will be working alongside industry experts. You will also be assigned a mentor within the organisation to support you and provide advice and guidance when needed.
